How many people watch g4

From hilarious web videos to memes, to streaming of all types, to celebrity guests, to the weirdest tech, Attack of the Show! The ultimate video game review show returns as a digital-first content brand that balances an authoritative loudmouth confidence with the absurdity of a public-access comedy sketch show, all while somehow maintaining enough credibility to book interviews with top industry luminaries.

Adam Sessler is back, joined by a group of hilarious experts, to bring a brutally honest voice to the modern gaming scene. Expand the sub menu Film. Expand the sub menu TV. The return of G4 could be a milestone for gamers and nerds of all stripes. Here's exactly why you should think of this as a big, exciting thing to come next year. G4 was a TV network that debuted on basic cable in and shuttered in Known for its pop-culture series Attack of the Show! Most notably, though, it launched the career of Olivia Munn as one of the hosts of AofS!

In retrospect, it existed during a very strange time for its type of coverage: At launch, we relied on MapQuest to print out directions, searched for things using Lycos, and had active Friendster and MySpace accounts, which is to say widespread internet usage was still latent.

Fandom communities were largely still offline, aside from forums Tumblr didn't come around until , and competitive gaming just barely registered as a thing after the release of the first Halo on XBox in Even nerd-ass gaming tournaments for League of Legends didn't come around until the second half of the '00s.

What the have done to Screen Savers makes baby Jesus cry. What "Attack of the Show" needs is a good old fashioned village mob to show up and burn it to the ground. Cinematech and occasionally Icons. The rest of G4 is atrocious.

G4 sucks, TechTV was much better. However, they still air my favorite show, X-Play. I'm not a huge fan of either Adam or Morgan, but that show consistently makes me laugh, which I can't say about any other show on that channel. I might watch Icons once and a while. I don't mind Cinematech so much, but it seems like half the time they have someone playing that really sucks at games.

Oddly, Right before the merger, Tech TV had a pretty decent lineup. Sometimes I'd watch it out of bordeom and it was at least entertaining. Now I flip it on and I think it just sucks. I suppose that's because I'm not a member of their target market. What exactly is their target market though? I'm a young male video game addict though Has anyone seen the ad for The Whip Set? How can you NOT have seen it? They advertise it every two god damn seconds I've seen parodies of that sort of marketing technique that were more subtle.

Cinematech is kinda cool. Cheats is kinda cool. Even my GF doesn't mind X-Play sometimes. It's so incredibly campy you can't help but laugh, especially when they are ripping into a particularly bad game.

Don't really watch anything else on the channel. I think the name of the show is G4TV. It's the two gals and guy. The thing that made me snicker, nyuck and guffaw was their online names; T-dub, Gmoney and thug. All three are pale-faces Well, "entertainment" is best done by VH1, imo A lot of G4 seems to have pointless attitude and misdirected gangsterism The Whip Set? Come on Canadian viewers like me still get Call For Help with Leo Laporte, and I recommend that show to all the people I know that don't know a whole pile about computers.

Even veterans like myself can learn a thing or two from the show, and I love how if Laporte doesn't know the answer, he keeps picking away at it or has one of his staff start searching until they find an answer of some sort.

Icons can watchable if the subject is something I'd find interesting. But aside from those shows, I don't watch that channel nearly as much as I used to.

G4 has completely destroyed everything that was good in TechTV. Screensavers Linux tips, ReplayTV mods, etc Now we get to see wonderful tv like shoving a webserver up someones ass and having people surf it. It's horrible now.
